About six years ago I suffered a hearing loss in both my ears. This was most frustrating because I use the telephone a great deal in my work. At home my wife would have to stand close to me and shout for me to hear her. I really began to feel cut off from the world, especially in our branch church when I could not hear the service.

Then one Sunday at church the words sensual thought came clearly to me. I believed that this was the real problem, realizing that I had been confronted with sensual thoughts for the previous month or so. This impure thinking had obscured my view of Christ, Truth, in all its purity. As I acknowledged this fact, the healing took place, and my hearing has remained excellent ever since.

I'm also very grateful for a healing of defective eyesight that occurred two years ago. Prior to that time my driver's license had required me to wear glasses while driving. Before renewing my license I went through a period of intensive study of Science and Health, including much note taking, but with no attention given to the question of eyesight. When I took the eye examination to renew my license, the inspector said that I no longer needed glasses to drive. My license now states that fact, and I do not wear glasses for any reason. I attribute this healing to the spiritual growth that resulted from my intensive study of Science and Health.
