My most treasured healing was instantaneous
My most treasured healing was instantaneous. It occurred several years ago while my wife and I were traveling on a train in another country. This healing has been a continuing inspiration and proof to me that Christ, Truth, is present to heal no matter where one is, and under any circumstances.
My wife and I had just returned to our seats after eating when I suddenly became very ill. The train was very crowded and noisy, and the next stop was ten hours away. My first thought was one of desperation and fear. There was only one thing to do—pray.
Within a few minutes I became oblivious to the noisy surroundings. I thought of the Biblical account of the time Christ Jesus walked on the water and came to his disciples in their boat. The sea was turbulent and the wind was blowing. Jesus said to them, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." After Jesus got into the boat there was a great calm. (See Matt. 14:22-32.)
