For children
If you have a good map, you can get where you're going
Ben was a mapmaker.
He loved to draw maps and to study them in books. At school, geography was his favorite subject. But most of all, he loved to take long trips with his mom and dad and big brother, Tim.
Driving across the country gave Ben a chance to follow the road maps that his dad had brought along. He watched for roads, cities, rivers, mountains, deserts. Some maps even pointed out where there were detours and where new roads were being built. It was great fun to compare the places he visited with the facts the maps provided. Another thing Ben and his family did was to look for Christian Science churches to visit as they traveled.
