I have been a Christian Scientist all my life
I have been a Christian Scientist all my life. My family and I have had countless healings in Christian Science. Effects of accidents, so-called children's diseases, back pain, burns, all have been healed through prayer.
About three years ago I fell down some stairs and landed very hard. The thought came to me that God's presence and power were there with me right then. I was alone in the house, but I managed to crawl to another room and telephone a member of my family, who in turn called a Christian Science practitioner to request help through prayer. With assistance I was able to get upstairs and into bed, but after that I was unable to move anything but my arms.
I prayed and held to all the spiritual truths that came to my thought. And with the help and prayers of my family and the dedicated practitioner, I made daily progress. On the third day I was able to move a bit. My daughter, who had been trained as a Christian Science nurses aide, was able to see to my physical needs as well as support me spiritually.
