I am deeply grateful to be a student of Christian Science
I am deeply grateful to be a student of Christian Science. The first healing in our home occurred when our daughter was a little over a year old. She was suffering from a strep infection in her ears. She had been under a doctor's care for some time, because although I had married a Christian Scientist, I had not yet begun the study of this Science.
Our daughter seemed to get better and then she would get worse. One day I reached my limit of endurance. At that time my husband quietly suggested I call the Christian Science practitioner who had been answering my many questions about this teaching.
I called the practitioner and we talked about the need to make a clear-cut choice about relying on Christian Science. He said to call him when I decided what I wished to do. After that conversation, I set all the various bottles of medicine on the counter of the kitchen sink and thought about them. I realized that there had been no cure from these medications. I then disposed of them.
