The first verse of Psalm 105 is "O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people." With wholehearted gratitude I share this testimony in order to "make known his deeds among the people," and I hope that it may be helpful to someone else.

I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School when I was young. But after going to Sunday School for several years, I drifted away from Christian Science. Then, in my early twenties, I became very sick with a bad case of sinus trouble. I first went to a doctor who gave me a prescription to take. But it did not help. So I went to another doctor, who prescribed a different remedy and said if that didn't work that moving to Arizona or California might help.

Then one evening when I was very distraught, and I couldn't get comfortable sitting, lying down, or walking about, my mother asked, "Would you like some help?" I knew what she meant— help through prayer in Christian Science—and I quickly said yes. She called a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me and asked me to read page 275 in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The first sentence on this page, referring to the fact that there can be no partnership of matter and mind because God, Spirit, is all, states, "Matter has no life to lose, and Spirit never dies."
