I want to express my deep appreciation and gratitude for Christian Science.

My mother was healed of stomach trouble through Christian Science many years ago, and from this experience our family came into Science. I did not apply it for myself at that time, but when I was left a widow with four young children, Christian Science was our mainstay. Through prayer we were supplied with everything we needed, including a good home, health, happiness, protection in many ways, friendship, and a church home. The children went to a Christian Science Sunday School for many years. As our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, states (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

Some time ago I was on a vacation and woke one night with my heart pounding very unnaturally. I took the textbook and went into another room and read for a short while. Then the thought came to me to acknowledge in prayer that no one can in reality hate God, or Truth, because man is actually the very idea of God. Very soon the pounding stopped; I felt fine and went back to bed. That was several years ago, and there has never been any recurrence of this kind of experience.
