God, me, and the jellyfish
Going one step higher on the ladder of spiritual understanding gives us practical solutions to our everyday problems.
At times we may feel so separated from God! The demands on us from work, family, and other activities may seem greater than our abilities and available time. We think about praying to God and do so, but He just seems so far away.
Isn't the answer found in knowing God and ourselves better? Our difficulties may be a signal to us that we need to rise higher in the spiritual understanding of God and man. Perhaps our first mistake is to expect progress and spiritual healing while remaining at the same mental rung of the heavenward ladder. What we should expect and demand most from our human experience is continuous spiritual growth.
Because I was not resolving the challenges in my life and because God seemed very distant, I went back to read and think about Moses' experience on Mount Horeb. See Ex. 3:1-14 . What struck me most was the deeper and clearer concept of God as the powerful I AM that was revealed to Moses.
