Rich inspiration and spiritual enlightenment have come to me through the study and practice of Christian Science.

Early in my experience as a student of this Science, one of our children fell and all his front teeth were pushed up into his gums. With the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner, this condition was healed overnight. My prayers included a recognition of God as the only creator and an understanding that accidents have no validity in God's kingdom, where man truly dwells. This Bible statement from Genesis came to mind (1:31): "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." I remember my joy the next morning when the child woke and smiled at me. All those beautiful teeth were in perfect order.

I had always wanted to visit The Mother Church, and one day a dear relative came to visit and gave me a check to go to Boston to look into a school for one of the children. I was delighted by the prospect of visiting The Mother Church during our visit. We planned to go by train, as the money I had been given would allow two of the younger children to accompany us.
