What is real
Challenging our basic assumptions about the nature of things isn't simply a philosophical venture. It can lead to new views of reality and to practical healing.
Academics of the right sort are requisite. Observation, invention, study, and original thought are expansive and should promote the growth of mortal mind out of itself, out of all that is mortal.
Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health
The difference between appearances and reality is intriguing. A beautiful personality can hide serious defects in character. The huge boulder in my backyard looks substantial and static; yet physicists say matter is made up of particles that are constantly moving. A desert appears to be devoid of water; but for those who know its secrets, it will yield life-sustaining moisture. Reality can't be measured simply by what gets recorded as messages to our material senses. Our perceptions about the nature of things need to be examined carefully.
