I am very grateful to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science healing. All manner of personal problems, including those of career, relationships, and finances, have been resolved step by step in wonderful ways as I have turned to God for guidance. Physical difficulties have likewise yielded to the spiritual understanding that accompanies this Christian healing. For example, cold symptoms (seldom experienced) and disabling back pain have been banished very quickly, and a broken toe has been healed as a result of my own prayers. A swollen, sprained—or broken—ankle, upon which I could put no weight because of the pain, was perfectly healed overnight through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner.

I am especially grateful for my rescue from an inconvenient and somewhat frightening situation. One night when I was driving on the highway and was quite a way from the nearest city, it grew foggy and very dark. Traffic was at peak—four lanes of it in each direction. Then, on top of all this, I had a flat tire.

Being a student of Christian Science, I was not especially disturbed. I knew that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," as is written in our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 494). But I outlined what seemed to me a logical human solution. I expected that the highway patrol or some kind family would come along shortly and take me to make a call to my emergency road service. It didn't work like that.
