With great joy I share the following experiences
With great joy I share the following experiences. For some years I had had a desire to move from the city to a more quiet country setting. This desire became uppermost in thought, but no amount of urging motivated my husband to feel favorably toward the idea. I felt trapped, almost desperate at times. Finally, through prayer, I gained a sense of peace about leaving things in God's hands and trusting His control.
A short time after I had relinquished willful outlining for God's direction and joyously recognized that my happiness was derived from Him and could not be impeded by a person or enhanced by a location, a swift change took place. My husband became enthusiastic about making a change and without my urging initiated a job inquiry in a small community where we had never been before. New employment was found, our home sold, and new property secured. Everything connected with the move was accomplished harmoniously through relying on God's provision. We are now enjoying our new experience and feel God's influence in all that we're doing.
Accompanying this major change was a physical healing. For many years I had been inconvenienced and distressed by chronic diarrhea. I learned the need of prayerfully refuting self-will. The desire to do this and to trust God's government brought renewed peace and proper bodily control.
