Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy quotes the saying (p. 266) "man's extremity is God's opportunity." This was proved true in our family, for Christian Science came to us when we were in desperate need. Our son, then three years old, developed a skin disease that eventually covered his entire body. After months of medical treatment our family physician and specialists agreed there was nothing more they could do for our son.

At this time a friend who was not a Christian Scientist but had read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy suggested we try Christian Science. A Christian Science practitioner was called. He agreed to pray for our son. Within one week the boy was completely healed.
