For children
No fear of the dark
Rosalba loved her third-floor room, even though it was farthest from her parents' room and up a long flight of stairs. It was almost like a tree house. She loved to lie on the floor in the sun and draw and read until someone called her.
But Rosalba only loved her room in the daytime. At night in the dark she was afraid. She knew there was no reason to be afraid. But many nights she'd worry about being there by herself. Then she'd hide under the blanket. If she had to get out of bed, she'd jump quickly in case something spooky was under the bed.
Rosalba had asked God to help her with other things, but never about fear of the darkness. Mostly she forgot all about it during the daytime.
