Together with God

I looked at my dear one
across the room.
She in her easy chair,
me in mine.

I couldn't help saying a silent prayer
of thanks to You, Father,
for giving us the truth that heals and blesses.

Together we weathered many storms,
each prayerfully supporting the other.
Always knowing our real relationship—

She and the Father.
I and the Father.
We together at one with God.
