I testified in the periodicals twenty years ago about a healing of polio that I had as a teen-ager and also told of other physical healings. Since then I have been asked many times whether Christian Science heals problems of business and supply. I have seen proof that it certainly does.

Early in our marriage, my husband was employed as a geologist with a major oil company. After several years of employment he wished to become an independent, consulting geologist. The feasibility of this change was considered earnestly and prayerfully for some time. We had two small children, numerous financial commitments, and very little savings; and the company did not even supply severance pay. Yet we felt impelled to go ahead with the move.

Under the marginal heading "Spiritual guidance," Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states (p. 566), "As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear,—as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy,—so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God."
