When I submitted my testimony that appeared in a 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal, I felt that my gratitude for this Science was at an all-time peak—how could it ever be higher! Yet now, fourteen years later, my study is more important to me, and I marvel more than ever at the greatness of Mrs. Eddy's discovery of the Science that Christ Jesus taught and demonstrated. I heartily agree with her statement on page 66 of Science and Health: "Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love."
About four years ago I had an inspiring healing of painful symptoms of arthritis. When the trouble occurred, I couldn't keep from limping, and I could hardly lift my arms to comb my hair.
Christ Jesus' healing of the woman "whom Satan hath bound" came to mind (Luke 13:16). I affirmed that disease is a belief of mortal mind that is destroyed by the power of God, immortal Mind. During my search through the Bible, I came across many precious promises of healing, as well as the accounts of Jesus' healings. Also valuable were the explanations of the Scriptures found in Science and Health. What became illumining to me was the fact of God's allness. And I knew I could never be excluded from His allness. In a little less than a week I was entirely free and have remained so.
