For children
Riding the yellow bus
I rode the yellow bus
to school today.
At first I thought
I might not want to go
with all those boys and girls
I didn't know.
But then when I remembered God is everywhere
and He is always taking care of me,
I held my lunch box tight
and climbed right up the steps.
I found a seat beside a boy
who moved his books for me.
He smiled—and so did I,
because I knew he was God's child,
and I was too!
