I would like to express gratitude for the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
About twelve years ago I was studying a particular subject as a hobby, and I was having some difficulty with it. I had heard of people being helped in all sorts of situations by Christian Science, and I wondered if this Science could help me with my studies. (At that time I practised no religion.) I had a copy of Science and Health that I had been given as a gift, so I started reading the chapter entitled "Prayer."
From the outset I was somewhat startled at what I was reading, and I was reluctant to put the book down. I agreed with what I read in Science and Health, feeling that its statements were true. Admittedly, there were sections I could not understand, but nevertheless I carried on with my reading. I also began to study the Bible. Much to my amazement, I understood what I was reading. (Previously, I had always regarded the Bible as a mystery.)
