During my last term in college I began swimming regularly in the campus pool. I welcomed this break as an opportunity to turn my thought to God, and I often used this time to pray and sing hymns silently. One day while I was swimming laps, I felt great pain in my eyes. As I continued to swim I remembered the following words from Hymn 144 in the Christian Science Hymnal:
In atmosphere of Love divine,
We live, and move, and breathe;
Though mortal eyes may see it not,
'Tis sense that would deceive.
