Some time ago I had a healing that has been extremely important to me. Through it I experienced a refreshing spiritual rebirth in which everything seemed bathed in a new light.

At one point for several days I battled a feeling of weakness connected with a severe cough, and I was unable to take food. I am no longer the youngest in my family, and I was tempted to let go and pass on. Sensing this, I asked my daughter to telephone a Christian Science practitioner for me. She called a practitioner before daybreak that morning and described the situation to him. After agreeing to pray for me, the practitioner assured my daughter that it simply wasn't possible for me to take the matter into my own hands. He insisted that God's beloved child can only go "from glory to glory" (II Cor. 3:18). And he added that Life is God, and that my life is in Him.

Once the practitioner had taken up the work, I was willing to pray for myself and I joined the practitioner in opposing this condition. After a refreshing sleep my first wish was to speak with the practitioner. I greeted him with a cheerful "good morning" and was surprised to hear that it was already five o'clock in the afternoon. My awakening was filled with light and inspiration. This is the way I imagine the joy felt by those who were present on the Master's resurrection day. My complete healing followed.
