Love's prayer
A friend of mine was employed in a job that included redecorating a large nursing home. The project required extensive work in a wing of the nursing home where men and women were living who to all outward sense had lapsed into severe senility.
All the crew found the situation demanding—one in which working near the patients required considerable care and extra attention. One morning, my friend, a Christian Scientist, was thinking about the words of a hymn from the Christian Science Hymnal:
