Poem December 28, 1987 ISSUE
I prayed for peace, for I had none;I prayed for joy, which had fled. But just as the prayer went out of my heart"you are Mine! You are loved!" a voice said.
And my peace returned as the sunshine,And my joy as a flowing stream—And with faith secure in God's dear love,I awoke from my doubt—a dream.
