Listening
Are you listening, really listening?
Or do your words like droplets in a waterfall
spill over in their eagerness
to reach the Father's ear—
so that you cannot hear
His voice,
that still, small voice
that transcends human fear?
If you are listening, really listening
in calm and quiet expectancy,
your Father's loving message will reach receptive
thought,
and either suddenly or gradually
through mortal mind's cacophony
you'll hear the truth you sought.
