I would like to express my gratitude for healings that took place...
I would like to express my gratitude for healings that took place in the spring of 1985. I had worn a new pair of shoes and got a blister on my toe. Somehow the toe got infected and my foot became infected as well. There was much pain. I called a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer.
I had a lot of fear to overcome because I had had serious trouble with my foot before. I held steadfastly to the spiritual truths of being. The practitioner and I prayed every day, pondering the fact that the real man lives in Spirit, not in a material body, trusting in the fact that God is the only genuine power and cause and that man is His spiritual reflection. Therefore in my true nature I could have only that which is derived from Him. The practitioner also pointed out that "Truth is always the victor" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 380).
As my thought was being purified and spiritualized, healing was taking place. There was steady improvement. The infection drained, and finally the healing of my foot was complete. While this was going on, a skin condition causing scaliness inside and around my ears was also healed, and I could hear normally again, something I had not been able to do for a while.
