A few years ago I was taking some lessons in figure skating
A few years ago I was taking some lessons in figure skating. At a practice session I fell heavily, striking the back of my head on the ice. I must have been unconscious for a while, for when I came to, paramedics had arrived and people were trying to help me. My head was bleeding, and when I tried to move, I felt a sharp pain in my back. Confident that my true being as God's spiritual idea is perfect, I assured everyone that I was fine and asked to be helped off the ice. There was no restriction in my movements after that.
The paramedics told me that I should be taken to a hospital for stitches, but I assured them that I would be all right. We sat on a bench for a while and talked. The only aid they gave me was to hold some ice over the wound, but this was soon dispensed with. Since I was not allowed to drive my car, a policeman offered to take me home, and another one drove my car. I was warned that I should call someone to stay with me in case there were ill effects.
I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. I also engaged a Christian Science nurse, and she dressed the wound. There was no pain, and when my husband came home from work, I was calm and had dinner prepared. The healing was so quick that I was able to remove the bandage a couple of days after a second dressing had been applied. Hair grew in normally, and no scar is evident.
