What am I?

The questions are often asked: "Who am I?" "Where am I going?" "What is life all about?"

To reply with the words "The Bible says that God made man in His own image and likeness" and to leave it at that isn't enough in an age of skepticism. Now people ask: "But how do I know there is a God? And what's an image and likeness anyway? Does God really create man, or have men invented God to meet their own need for reassurance?"

Christian Science replies to these questions: "Yes, there is a God. But God isn't like mortals. God expresses infinite wisdom and love. Human beings cannot create the true God to serve their human ends or to solve their human enigmas—though they may attempt to manufacture false gods. Actually God creates man, His perfect spiritual reflection, to express infinite Life and Love, to demonstrate the Principle of being."
