The joy of being

LAURA CANFIELD LEE

I wondered despondently, "Why am I here?"
And thoughts of gloom seemed to enfold me.
Then a voice that I heard came as clear
as a bell
And this was the message God told me,
The glorious message He told me:

You are here just to be what, divinely,
you are,
Love's perfect and joyful expression.

Then I said, "Thank you, Father, for
giving me this,
This wonderful new revelation—
This beautiful, true revelation."
