With much joy and gratitude I share the following testimony. Although I was introduced to Christian Science late in my teens, I did not become a serious student for some years. My commitment to Christian Science healing began when I was faced with a problem to work out. My menstrual cycle had ceased. In praying about this I knew I had to gain a clearer understanding of God and His all-inclusive government. I needed to realize that the universe of God's creating was operating in perfect harmony, and that every activity in my life was under the control of divine law.

A great deal of inspiration was derived from studying appropriate statements in Mrs. Eddy's writings. The statement that brought me the greatest sense of peace is found in Science and Health on page 509: "The periods of spiritual ascension are the days and seasons of Mind's creation, in which beauty, sublimity, purity, and holiness—yea, the divine nature—appear in man and the universe never to disappear."

After praying for myself for several months I felt somewhat freer. But I decided it was wise to seek the prayerful assistance of a Christian Science practitioner. During my office visit with him, I expressed concern over the problem, since I hoped to marry and have children. He spoke to me reassuringly. As he did, all fear was replaced with a sense of God's ever-presence and eternal love.
