FOR CHILDREN
What Tommy proved
School was fun for Tommy. He liked learning new things and listening to stories. He liked learning to write. Recess was lots of fun because Tommy could play with his friends.
One day after recess, Tommy's teacher called him to her desk. She felt his forehead because he looked so hot. "I think you should see the nurse," she said. She wrote a note to the nurse.
Tommy had never been sent to the nurse before, and the idea frightened him. What would the nurse do? What would she find?
