My friend and I had just come home from school to do our homework together. But before we started doing homework, we decided to play with my brother's hamster. We took him out of his cage and began playing with him. After a while we noticed the time and remembered we had to do homework. So we got our books and went into another room, totally forgetting about the hamster.

About an hour later my friend reminded me that we hadn't put the hamster back. Right then my brother came home. He was fit to be tied about the hamster. Everyone started scrambling all over the house looking for the hamster. In the meantime I decided to call my Christian Science Sunday School teacher. She helped me see that no matter where the hamster was, he couldn't be outside God's presence. She also told me this from the Bible (Luke 12:2): "There is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed."

It was only about twenty seconds later that we heard a loud noise, as if something had fallen in my closet. I then stood up with a smile on my face and walked toward my room. Once I got there I opened my closet. Sure enough, there was my brother's hamster—just sitting there! My friend was standing next to me and his mouth dropped down to his ankles in astonishment. I, too, was amazed at first because my closet door had been shut tight.
