One day as I was driving on a one-way ramp in a parking garage, a car suddenly came toward me and nearly hit me just before it screeched to a halt.
As a young working parent, I sometimes had to juggle work, family responsibilities, educational goals, and a myriad of other objectives.
It certainly looks to mundane thinking as though we each are mortal, faced with almost endless pressures to take care of ourselves, our health, income, relationships, family.
I had admitted and acknowledgedthat the kingdom was God'sand the power was His.
Just as I was waking up one morning, these words came distinctly to thought: There's only one Spirit.
Sometimes the thought may come that if praying were simpler, we would do more of it.
In May 1982 I was suddenly afflicted with symptoms of an acute inflammatory condition that affected my limbs.
I am most grateful to God for the beautiful and practical teaching of Christian Science, which has brought a variety of healings to our family.
Books, and learning from them, have been dear to me since childhood.
