Pure gratitude
I have been delivered intact
from many a fiery furnace—
some hotter than others—
thanking and praising
long after deliverance
Love the deliverer,
who then gently reminded me
that pure gratitude
contains no slightest belief
that there ever was smell of smoke
mingled with the sweet fragrance
of Love's all-presence.
