For far too long I have put off sending in this testimony to express my great gratitude for God's healing power. Mrs. Eddy writes on page 454 of Science and Health: "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way." This has certainly been the case in my own life.

I came into contact with Christian Science by attending Sunday church services with a girlfriend who was a Christian Scientist. (I didn't at first know anything about the Wednesday testimony meetings.) Sometime later I quite effortlessly gave up all use of tobacco. Only afterward did I realize that a healing had taken place.

Still later, on realizing that Christian Science and alcohol do not mix, I gave up—without any struggle—all social drinking.
