Having been raised in Christian Science, I have had the opportunity to experience many healings. These include healings of a badly sprained arm and severe back pain. Here I would like to relate a healing that occurred over a year ago, and that has remained special to me.

I had been hired as an assistant to a controller in a medium-sized company. While I had had no accounting experience or training in this field, I am considered good with figures and I learned this work quickly. Everything went well until about three months into my employment when the controller I was working under was suddenly fired. This occurred during our busiest season.

At that point I was promoted to the position of controller, a job I felt unqualified for because I knew only parts of the accounting system. On top of this, I had no assistant and would have to hire and train one. The anxiety and fear I experienced were severe, for the situation appeared out of my control.
