I grew up with the understanding that under God's ever-present, all-encompassing care none of us have to accept the intrusion of sickness or any other inharmony in our lives. This knowledge, gained through the study of Christian Science, has been a preventative agent in my life, as well as a strength when healing was needed.

I would like to share two healings that came from my study of Science. One occurred while I was a pupil enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. Another took place more recently.

When I was nine years old I was a member of a local swimming team. We often had meets on Saturdays, and we looked forward to these with great anticipation.
