How can I love Him more?

There comes a point in people's lives when they become less concerned with what God is going to do to help them and begin to wonder, "How can I repay some of the good I've been given? How can I show my love for Him more?" Such individuals have arrived at an unusually holy place in spiritual development. They and their neighbors are in for unimagined blessings—once they learn the answer to this crucial question and start to act on it.

"Heavy topic!" someone might be thinking. Not really! After all, our relationship to our creator eclipses all others. And the sooner we begin thinking of how we can more fully express our love and gratitude to Him, the happier life is going to be for us and for those whom our lives will increasingly touch.

The Psalmist's question "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?" Ps. 11 6: 12. is a lofty one. And it deserves sublime counsel on how best to achieve such giving—counsel that the following commands of Christ Jesus provide us: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Matt. 22:37–39.
