Using every opportunity to prove God's power
Have you ever felt that something was just too small to deserve attention? Though a cold, for example, may be annoying, you are still able to go about your daily chores. As a result, you just ignore it.
Some people always ignore the little pains or annoyances. If they go away—fine. If the trouble keeps reappearing, then people decide to pay attention.
To a Christian Scientist, even small annoyances can be reminders of the need to affirm God's complete love for His children and man's true being as the child of God. To accept the smallest suggestion that there could be a period when man did not express God is to believe that God is good on a part-time basis and that man is not always His child.
