"Spiritual" breakfast

What a contrast between our Lord's last supper
and his last spiritual breakfast with his disciples
in the bright morning hours at the joyful
meeting on the shore of the Galilean seal!*

Never noticed the world spiritual before,
It took me back to an earlier meal
prepared "in the presence of mine enemies,"
an overrunning cup the result.

Now again enemies are overcome.
Now an unbroken net full of fishes.
Now bread (spiritual being)
and light—
oh, what light!
