God needs man

Man needs God. But God needs man too. God and man are inseparable.

Why does God need man? And what kind of man does God need? God, Spirit, infinite Mind, must be expressed; and spiritual man is God's idea, created solely to express Him, to show the infinite diversity of His nature in individual ways. Man is God's likeness. Man manifests love to show that God is Love. He reflects wisdom to show that God is Mind. He expresses integrity to show that God is Principle.

Next to the marginal heading "Indestructible relationship," Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health: "Man is the expression of God's being. If there ever was a moment when man did not express the divine perfection, then there was a moment when man did not express God, and consequently a time when Deity was unexpressed—that is, without entity." ^{Science and Health, p. 470.}
