Silence
Talk shows. And talking on the phone. And tuning in to transistors that can be carried like a credit card or worn like a hat!
Silence is getting to seem old-fashioned. For most of us silence is in short supply these days.
But don't we need quietness to hear the most important thing of all—the assurances of divine purpose, direction, and healing that we so long for? It's not that we need physical silence—airwaves without noise, some perfect sylvan retreat from the world. We need the quieting of thought. There's an inner stillness in which you can "hear" spiritual reality.
