DIVINE MIND'S INFINITE RESOURCES

Guidance for life's business

In this business of living, we all have to make constant choices every day between one course of action and another. Most decisions we have to make are not critical, of course. But when they are, we need the best guidance available. And this is why habitually turning to God for His guidance is so important!

Do we realize how much spiritual light and direction can be ours when we pray, as the Psalmist did, "Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee"? Ps. 143:8.

And through such prayerful listening, anyone can hear God's voice. Why? Because all of us, contrary to appearances, are actually spiritual in nature, the reflection of God. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy gives a helpful description of God as "the great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." Science and Health, p. 587. With an understanding of what Christian Science reveals of God's tender, ever-present care for His children, many have found they can turn confidently to God, to the spiritual source of our help, for the inspired ideas they need to guide them.
