A musician knows that the more intently he listens to the music he is performing, the more of the essence of the music he perceives. And with increased understanding of the import of the music, he hears more of that to which he is listening.
So it is with our listening to God, the divine Mind. The more we listen to divine Mind, the more we learn of the true meaning of Life. In listening to Mind we feel God's presence, God's love for His children. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states (p. 90): "The admission to one's self that man is God's own likeness sets man free to master the infinite idea."
The Bible records that Christ Jesus said (John 5:30), "As I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." In healing the sick, Christ Jesus demonstrated Spirit, Truth, Life, and Love for all mankind, in every age.
