Christian Science is responsible for transforming my life in many ways. I was first attracted to this teaching over thirteen years ago, when I visited a Christian Science Reading Room. I asked the librarian on duty numerous probing questions about God and life. The librarian lovingly and graciously responded to my somewhat confrontational inquiries. After having investigated in vain various philosophies and religions to find answers to these questions, I was expecting to be disappointed again.

The librarian's explanations of God as Love and of my relationship to Him melted the cynicism and opened my heart to hope in good. I left the Reading Room that day with several copies of the Sentinel and a peace I had never felt before.

My hunger and thirst for spiritual truth were very strong, and soon I began study of the Bible Lessons (outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly). With this study of the Bible and of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I began to see and feel a transformation for good taking place in my life. (That transformation has continued to this day.)
