Like Robert Browning, I have been aware of 'a Hand always above my shoulder.' Without accepting the theological framework of the popular folk-hymn, I believe that all of us are recipients of 'amazing grace.'

"Guidance and healing are part of the natural order of things. I make the basic religious affirmation that life is good and the universe is trustworthy. At the core of reality are intelligence, purpose and love. This dynamic we call God.
