Answered prayer
The answered prayer is
where incessant questions and thundering resistance
melt before the penetrating
light of the Christ
as frustrated query is replaced
by ever-present law of joy
(as pelting rain yields to quiet calm),
and truth's answering smile blazons all
with the acclamation of pure peace and so
descending upon the once doubtful yet earnest plea
it finds the heart receptive, unlabored—
healed, and free.
To live in the answer is to be
at peace.
