And the heart of humanity is crying out for spiritual values with new fervor and expectancy. As the founder of this magazine, Mary Baker Eddy, once observed in a sermon called The People's Idea of God (p. 1): "Every step of progress is a step more spiritual." In this special issue* we explore spirituality now, what it demands of us, how it fulfills and heals, and what it can mean to our world.
