... about "metaphysical" questions. College students in record numbers are seeking out courses on religion and spirituality. And the heart of humanity is crying out for spiritual values with new fervor and expectancy. As the founder of this magazine, Mary Baker Eddy, once observed in a sermon called The People's Idea of God (p. 1): "Every step of progress is a step more spiritual." In this special issue* we explore spirituality now, what it demands of us, how it fulfills and heals, and what it can mean to our world.
