Angel thoughts save the day
Last summer Mom was trying to explain to us about angels. Angels are good thoughts that God sends to man, she said. But we didn't understand exactly what she meant. She tried to tell us in different words, but we got tired of listening, so we started climbing our special climbing tree.
In a little while Mom said she had heard an angel thought. It told her we should go up to the barn to check on the chickens. Well, we did, and they were OK. Mom said we should stick around for a while.
She started weeding the vegetables next to the chicken run. We helped a little. It was really hot that day. In a few minutes our two big dogs suddenly broke into the run. They got in through a rusty piece of the fence they had been digging at. They are bird dogs, and they weren't used to the chickens and guinea hens yet.
