It has been eighteen years since my first testimony was published in The Christian Science Journal. These years have been eventful and productive in numerous ways. There have been many beautiful healings, also trials and tribulations. But the so-called harsh experiences have proved to be steppingstones to solid, sure growth in Christian Science. As I have used the lessons learned in my study of the Bible and of our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I have joyfully proved again and again the healing efficacy of omnipotent Truth.

One of the most outstanding healings I have witnessed was that of one of my daughters. She had always resisted Christian Science and seemed to want to live her life in the ways of the world. Eventually she reached the point where she was in and out of hospitals a lot of the time, but the medical help she received was ineffective. Finally, after months of prolonged suffering, she turned completely to God, discarded all drugs and alcohol, to which she was heavily addicted, and asked for help in Christian Science. She was fully healed. Today, some fifteen years later, she is a working Christian Scientist, experiencing great joy in serving the Cause of Christian Science in every way that she can. Another beautiful healing was one I had about twelve years ago. One morning I noticed a deep sore place on my wrist. I prayed for a while, then went about my day as usual. However, the next morning the condition had worsened. I again worked prayerfully about the situation, but by the fourth day the difficulty appeared to be much worse.
