The very best kind of sticker

Tess had the best sticker collection in school except for maybe Wendy. Wendy had a lot because her mom had bought her a whole package of stickers. Tess didn't have as many, but she had more kinds. She had Michael Jackson stickers, Care Bear stickers, and even a sticker that smelled like a pickle. Only you had to scratch it first.

Wendy and Tess were best friends and played together every Saturday. Not on one particular Saturday, though, because they had put stickers on the dog. Tess's mom had to cut a lot of hair off the dog when she couldn't get the stickers unstuck. (It isn't a good idea to put stickers on the dog or the dresser because they don't come off easily, and then your mom will probably take your stickers away. That's what happened to Tess.)

She wasn't allowed to see Wendy all day Saturday or all day Sunday. Monday she went to kindergarten. She didn't see Wendy, who had stayed home. Then on Tuesday Wendy came to school with the biggest and best sticker Tess had ever seen. Wendy got it when she went to the doctor to have a shot. The picture was of an elephant wearing a Band-Aid. The elephant had on a big cowboy hat with the words "Be nice to me. I've just been shot." That was funny. Tess wanted a sticker of a big elephant with a cowboy hat just like Wendy's. Wendy told Tess that she would have to be sick to get one because you could only get them from the doctor.
